When and where is Kamp Kairos? Kamp Kairos is located in beautiful Jekyll Island and will be June 26th-30th (Mon – Fri). All services and breakouts are going to be at our brand new location Villas By The Sea!
Where do we stay? We are also excited to announce that “Villas By The Sea” in Jekyll Island, GA will be our brand new venue this year which will not only hold our Praise and Worship Services, but will also hold our Breakout Sessions as well! What does this mean? This means less driving. This means everything will be held at one location…one resort! That’s right! How many chaperones can we bring? Typically, we would recommend having at least one adult chaperone for every five students that you bring, however, we know that sometimes this is not always possible. Every youth group is different based on the needs of your group.
What is the dress code? We encourage Youth Leaders to teach, encourage and enforce modesty among the students from their group.
What is the rule about cell phones? We do not prohibit cell phones at camp. In fact, at times, cell phones will be encouraged for use (games, Bible study and scripture references). However, we do ask that they not become a distraction for recreational use during services and breakouts.
Do we have free time? Each afternoon has a block of time that is available to be used as free time at your Youth Leaders discretion. We will offer recreation and mission project options for groups to utilize during free time if you prefer.
Do we need to turn in medical forms for each student that attends? We highly encourage churches to obtain a medical release for each minor that attends camp. This is a wise practice for group leaders to utilize for all youth trips. However, we do not require that you submit these in order to attend as we leave this in the hands of the group leader.
